I’m originally from Michigan and moved to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina with my husband and our pup, Lucy. I earned my veterinary degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, New York and my bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but I am particularly passionate about internal medicine and caring for geriatric patients so they can have a comfortable and graceful life. I believe in practicing Fear Free medicine, and I love how dedicated the whole staff at the Animal Hospital of Waynesville is to the Fear Free initiative, helping make our patients more comfortable. I am inspired by service dogs and working dogs and have raised a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I am a proud member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the AVMA, and the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology. When not working, I love hiking in the mountains and spending time in the great outdoors. I am thrilled to work with you and your four-legged family members!
