My name is Cyndi Manning
As I sit here thinking about my why, I can’t help but think about my childhood and all the animals and reptiles we had. We had a spider monkey, a skunk, an iguana, several rabbits and hamsters and of course several dogs and cats. I have always had a love for animals and would take on the responsibility of caring for them, teaching them new tricks and making them part of the family and not “just an animal.” I would get books from the library to learn as much as I could about them and how to care for them (we didn’t have computers back then).
Fast forward to adulthood, I found myself being drawn to the customer service world through working in retail groceries, to banking, human medicine and then to the Veterinary world, which I must say has been the best to date. For me it’s the best of both worlds because I’m still in “client service ” and able to put the skills I’ve learned into play. I get to meet the owners and their fur babies, making relationships with both , helping to make their visits as fear free and enjoyable as I can as well as being able to help educate the fur parents.
So for me, my why is the relationships we have with our Fur parents and their fur babies as well as getting to work with this amazing group of amazing Doctors and staff. Because everyday we learn something new.
