Pocket Pets and Wildlife
The Animal Hospital of Waynesville in addition to Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Kittens will do routine care for pocket pets (Hamsters, Rats, Gerbils, Mice, Rabbits, and Guinea pigs) as well as Turtles, Snakes, Lizards, Sugar Gliders, Fish, Birds.
- We also do Beak, nails, and wing trims on birds.

The magnificent wildlife in our area bring joy to everyone when the they come into view or cross our paths, but not just anyone can care for them if they are hurt or sick.

For raccoons, possums, coyotes, squirrels and other wildlife type of animals you can take them to a certified federal licensed wild life rehabilitator. It is against the law for someone not certified as a wild life rehabilitator to see or treat any wildlife due to the possibility of rabies and other diseases. See list below.
